Brian Pierce
Junior Vice Commander - Army
Brian Pierce served in the U.S. Army from 1983 until 2010. He retired as a Lieutenant Colonel and lives in Salado, Texas. He completed multiple tours overseas in Iraq and Korea as a Field Artillery Officer. He started his career as an enlisted Soldier and switched over to an Officer after being commissioned from Elon University, and he also received an MBA from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University. He served at every echelon in the Army during his time. He received the Legion of Merit, the Bronze Star (with oak leave cluster), the Meritorious Service Medal (4 oak leave clusters), and he even received an award from the Secretary of Defense from Romania.
After retirement He was hired as a Subject Matter Expert for Command Post and is still active supporting Soldiers and divisions fielding the new Command Post. His priorities have not changed; God, Family, and Country. He is a member of the Salado Baptist Church. He and his wife have three kids who have all served in the military; the two oldest now work for Tesla and the youngest son is a Captain in the Army at JBLM. Brian and Mandy have two grandchildren, with the third grandchild arriving in December.
Brian is the Junior Vice Commander for the Post, and he is committed to supporting fellow veterans and strengthening community outreach. When Brian is not supporting the VFW, he likes to hang out with the family and golf.
