Ray McCulloch served in the U.S. Army from 1994 until 2023, serving in the Army Reserve, Active Duty, and Army National Guard in that time. He completed multiple tours overseas as a Public Affairs Officer and an Information Operations Officer. He culminated his career as the Public Affairs Officer for the 504th Expeditionary Military Intelligence Brigade at Fort Hood.

 

During his service, he deployed in support of Operations Iraqi Freedom, Enduring Freedom, and Inherent Resolve, as well as completing a tour in the Republic of Korea. His awards included the Bronze Star, Defense Meritorious Service Medal (with 1 oak leaf cluster), and the Meritorious Service Medal (with 2 oak leaf clusters).

 

Ray has been an active member of the VFW since 2024 and has previously served as the Post Trustee (3-year). He is committed to supporting fellow veterans and strengthening community outreach. 

 

Ray lives in Salado, Texas, with his wife and two children. He enjoys hunting, fishing, and growing and supporting the VFW.
