Commander's Corner

Commander Minnie Whitzel

On behalf of the veterans of VFW Post 12235, I want to extend my sincere gratitude to everyone who joined us for our Veterans Day Commemoration. We were honored to welcome more than 100 attendees, including local dignitaries, community leaders, families, and friends. Your presence made the ceremony meaningful and deeply appreciated by the veterans we are proud to serve.

Your continued support strengthens our mission and reminds us how fortunate we are to be part of a community that truly values service, sacrifice, and the bonds that unite us. Salado consistently shows up—not just on Veterans Day, but throughout the year—and we are genuinely thankful for each of you.

As we enter this season of reflection and gratitude, we wish you and your families a warm, safe, and meaningful Thanksgiving. We are grateful for your support, your kindness, and your partnership in honoring those who have worn the uniform.

Thank you for standing with us.
